William Ernest Ives, date of birth 24 February 1918, attended Ash Walsh School 1923-1932. His family lived in Ash Street and his father was called William. Mrs Ives wrote to Ash Parish Council regarding the War Memorial from 1 South View Ash Street. William T and Ethel M Ives are recorded as living at 1 South View Ash Street in the May 1945 electoral register. Jeff Murphy was also on HMS Gloucester. |
