Reginald Stanley David Franks

Reginald was the son of John Francis and Marion Franks. He was born in 1910, and in 1911 the family lived at 2 Finchley Villas in the Ash Hill Road. Electoral registers record that his family lived there from 1918-1936.

Reginald married Vera Winifred Norman in St Nicolas’s Church Cranleigh in 1936, and electoral registers record that Reginald and Vera lived in High Street Craleigh 1937-1938.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records Vera as living in Cranleigh, and the electoral register records her address as 6 Canfold Cottages Bookhurst Hill in 1945.

Reginald’s eldest brother John Franks was killed in the Great War.
