Denis Carey

1st Class Air Mechanic 9468, Royal Flying Corps "X" Aircraft Park
Died 15 July 1916 aged 31
Buried in Cairo War Memorial Cemetery

Denis Carey was born in Londonderry c1885 and married Emily Franklin of Aldershot in 1910. He had served in the RAMC for 12 years and then worked at the Aircraft Factory for 2-3 years.

The Farnham Herald 29 July 1916 reported that Emily lived in Heathcote Close and that her husband had been killed in a tram accident in Alexandria.
